Delete your EMBOX account

This page explains how to request deletion of your EMBOX account, what data we delete, what we must retain, and for how long.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — Delete from the EMBOX mobile app
- Open the EMBOX mobile app and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Cá nhân (Personal) tab from the bottom navigation.
- Tap on your account / profile to open account settings.
- Select Delete Account and follow the on-screen confirmation prompt.
- Confirm with the SMS OTP sent to your registered phone number. Your account will then be queued for deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
- Send an email from the email address linked to your account (or, if none, include your registered phone number for verification) to support@embox.vn.
- Use subject line:
Account Deletion Request. - Include in the body: your full name, registered phone number, and a brief confirmation that you wish to delete your EMBOX account and associated personal data.
- Our team will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
Note: Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to the EMBOX app and any active vending devices linked to your account. This action cannot be undone.
What data is deleted or retained
We delete personal data that is no longer needed. Some data must be retained to comply with Vietnamese law (accounting, taxation, anti-fraud) or to fulfil outstanding obligations.

| Claimed vending devices | Deleted | Devices are unlinked from your account immediately so they can be claimed by a new owner. |
| Wallet balances (deposit, commission) | Retained | If you have outstanding balances, EMBOX will contact you to settle them before your account is fully deleted. |
| Transaction history & sales records | Retained | Retained for up to 10 years to comply with Vietnamese accounting and tax laws. Records are anonymized where legally permitted. |
| Audit logs (login, device claim, payment changes) | Retained | Retained as required by applicable security and legal obligations. |
Retained data is stored securely (encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict access controls) and is used solely for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. We do not use retained data for marketing.
